Love What You Sell

Happy July 2025, JVB Consults Readers!

This month, I’ve been having so many conversations — with clients, business owners, creatives — and the story is often the same. “I have this idea,” they say. “This product. But I don’t know how to get it moving… I don’t know where to start.”

And every time I hear that, I’m reminded of something so fundamental that often gets overlooked in the rush of branding and marketing:

Do you actually love your product?

Entrepreneurs are dreamers by nature. Our minds move fast, grabbing at sparks of inspiration like confetti in the wind. But that same creative energy can become a trap when it leads us to chase every idea without truly anchoring to one. In business, inspiration alone isn’t enough. You’ve got to love what you sell. Deeply. Unapologetically. Because if you don’t — your audience won’t either.

That’s the real homework. Know your product inside and out. Study it. Sit with it. Use it. Obsess over the details. The way it feels in your hands, the way it lives in someone’s life, the story it tells without a single word. That’s how you get clarity — not just for marketing or pitching — but for sustaining something when it’s no longer fun or exciting. That’s how you protect your brand from becoming a random collection of ideas with no heart.

Having a lot of money to launch something doesn’t guarantee people will buy it. But loving what you’re offering? That’s where it all begins.

That’s the energy that magnetizes the right people, the right moments, and the right growth.

So as you move through this month, ask yourself the question:

Do I love this enough to fight for it?

Because if the answer is no, it’s time to pause and return to the drawing board.

You’re not just building a brand.

You’re building belief.

Until Next Time,

Be Kind With Yourself. Be Patient With Yourself.

All My Best,

– JVB
